We are wild and crazy. We often start out with a giant To-do list on
the Friday night and just start chipping away at it through the
weekend. It never seemed to get done and we couldn't ever fit in sightseeing around our new city. So as COO for our family, I
realized I had been falling down on my job as VP of Family
Extracurricular. I rocked it during the week when Daddy was at work,
but he was missing all of the fun. So I hustled the family out of the door by 9am on Saturday (a feat if you are familiar with our weekend speeds). We were able to hit the Home Depot free Saturday workshop for kids and build a little project for each of them (minus painting the thing because we didn't have time to wait for it to dry). And then it was off to a neighboring suburb's festival. Each suburb around us has their own. We'll be sampling them all. But alas, work doesn't do itself. But at least the kids want to hang out with us while we do it, and sometimes it creates sweet pictures. More coming next weekend!
At Home Depot for their free Saturday workshops for kids. Working and then showing off our project.

And to the festivities after the parade
And then back to work...
Looks like fun, Jen! Thanks for sharing. :) Miss you guys.
